Geraldine Hilton, Managing Director - with close to two decades of film industry experience commencing in the late 1980’s including all rights film acquisitions for Australia/New Zealand territories, film and television production, cinema ownership and film festival directorship. Initially, under Premium Films, Geraldine together with her colleague acquired films such as - Delicatessen, Camille Claudel, Raise the Red Lantern, Metropolitan, Paris is Burning, Poison and Antonia and Jane. In 1995, Geraldine was appointed Head of Arthouse Theatrical Distribution, a joint venture between UIP and Total Films. Acquisitions included Patricia Rozema’s When Night Is Falling and Danny Boyle’s Shallow Grave . In 1998, Melsa Films opened a film and television production division (see Productions) in addition to establishing a cinema in Byron Bay as a joint venture with Dendy Cinemas (2002).
